As reported on NPR earlier today, “Mr. Pinball” Steve Kordek passed away at the age of 100. I had the pleasure to meet Steve and have had several discussions with him over the years at the Pinball Expo in Chicago. Even all the way up to the last time I spoke with him he was always excited to talk about pinball and loved to answer questions and was kind and friendly to me and many other patrons who share the same passion. You will be missed but your legacy will live on as you truly revolutionized pinball by setting the standard for the basic flipper setup that is still used on every game produced since 1948. The radio clip can be heard here on the NPR web page.
